- Prepare 100 ml of Milk
- Prepare 40 ml of Sesame oil
- Prepare 1 of pack Pancake mix (I use Morinaga brand)
- It’s of Additions
- It’s 30 of cm Burdock root
- Prepare 1 of Carrot
- Prepare 1/2 of Onion
- It’s 1 of as much (to taste) Wood ear mushrooms
- Prepare 1 of Edamame
- Prepare 1 of as much (to taste) Processed cheese
- It’s of Seasoning
- It’s 1 tbsp of Miso
- It’s 1 tbsp of Sake
- You need 1 tbsp of Mirin
- You need 1/2 tbsp of Soy sauce
- It’s of Toppings
- It’s 1 of Sesame seeds
- You need 1 of Green onions
Step to make Japanese-style Miso Cake Salé with Pancake Mix:
- In a bowl, beat the eggs, add the milk, oil, and pancake mix and just mix it all up!
- Cut the additional ingredients into bite size
- Stir-fry the ingredients from Step 2. Mix all the seasoning ingredients and add to the pan. Stir-fry until all the moisture evaporate
- Turn off the heat, add the 1 cm cubes of cheese and give it a quick stir.
- Add the batter from Step 1 to Step 4. The key here is not to over mix.
- Pour the mixture from Step 5 into the pound cake mold lined with parchment paper and top with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seed Bake at 180-190°C for 35-40 minute
