The Ingredients need to make Slow Cooked Country Style Ribs:
- You need of ribs
- You need 2 lb of country style ribs, trimmed of excess fat
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of salt and pepper
- It’s of sauce
- It’s 1/4 cup of worcestershire sauce
- It’s 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- It’s 2 cup of chicken broth
- Prepare 1/2 cup of pineapple preserves
- Prepare 1 clove of crushed garlic
- Prepare 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar
- It’s 1/2 tsp of chopped parsley
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of onion powder
- Prepare 2 tsp of cornstarch
Step to make Slow Cooked Country Style Ribs:
- Salt and pepper both sides of rib Ribs should be brought to room temperature before adding to slow cooker.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients together. Whisking is best as it helps break up the preserves and has it incorporate better into the liquid
- Place ribs into slow cooker.
- Pour sauce over rib
- Cover slow cooker and turn on to low setting for 8 hour
- Sauce should thicken some during cooking. I like a thicker sauce so at the end I remove sauce and place it in a large saucepan ,removing the crushed garlic clove.
- Turn saucepan to medium high and make a thickening slurry by adding 2 tablespoons of corn starch with 2 tablespoons sauce. Mix together and add to saucepan. Whisk until thickened.
- Serve over mashed potatoes or I also like to serve over buttered egg noodle
- Place ribs onto of your accompanying side and spoon over the delicious sauce. Pick your favorite vegetable to go with it.
