The Ingredients needed to make For the New Year Feast - Konbu Seaweed Wrapped Ground Chicken:
- It’s 5 of sheets Quick cooking kombu (5 x 20 cm)
- Prepare 100 grams of Ground chicken
- Prepare 1/3 of of a carrot Carrot
- You need 5 cm of Japanese leek
- You need of Seasoning
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Soy sauce
- You need 1/2 tsp of Sake
- You need 2 tsp of Katakuriko
- Prepare of Broth
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Sugar
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Mirin
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Sake
- You need 2 tbsp of Soy sauce
Step to make For the New Year Feast - Konbu Seaweed Wrapped Ground Chicken:
- Reconstitute the kombu by soaking in water for about 15 minutes (dont throw away the water because itll be used later).
- Mince the carrot and onion.
- Add the seasoning ingredients to the ground chicken and combine.
- Add the carrot and onion and mix.
- Separate the mixture into 5 portions and place on the edge of the kombu.
- Wrap it around several time
- Tie it closed with a string (make 5 rolls).
- Simmer the kombu rolls for 15 minutes in 400 ml of water used to reconstitute the seaweed and all of the broth ingredients except for the soy sauce.
- Add the soy sauce and simmer for another 15 minute
- Once cooled, remove the string, slice, and youre done.
