The Ingredients needed to make Roasted Urad Dal Fry:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup of split urad dal, dry roasted soaked for 30 minutes
  2. Prepare 1 of onion, chopped
  3. Prepare 1 tsp. of ginger, grated
  4. It’s 2 of green chilies, chopped
  5. Prepare 1 tsp. of ginger garlic paste
  6. It’s 2 tbsp. + 1 tsp. of mustard oil
  7. Prepare 1 tsp. of panch phoron
  8. Prepare 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida
  9. You need to taste of salt
  10. You need 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
  11. It’s 1 tsp. of ghee
  12. It’s 1 tsp. of coriander leaves, chopped
Step to make Roasted Urad Dal Fry:
  1. Pressure cook the roasted urad dal in 1 1/2 cups water, onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, ginger and 1 tsp. oil for 4-5 whistle Whisk slightly and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and temper with panch phoron and asafoetida. After it stops spluttering, add the ginger-garlic paste. Saute for a few second
  3. Add the boiled dal and salt to taste. Simmer on a medium flame for 2-3 minute Add ghee and coriander leave Mix well and switch of the flame.
