The Ingredients needed to make Kalan - Kerala Style:

  2. It’s 1 cup of elephant yam, cubed

  4. It’s 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp. of red chilli powder
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp. of pepper powder
  7. Prepare 1 cup of water
  8. It’s 1/2 cup of fresh grated coconut
  9. Prepare 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  10. Prepare 2-3 of green chilies
  11. It’s 1 cup of yoghurt
  12. Prepare 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  13. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
  14. Prepare 1 of dry red chilli, broken
  15. It’s 1 sprig of curry leaves
Step to make Kalan - Kerala Style:
  1. Grind the coconut, cumin seeds and green chilies into a paste by adding some Keep aside.
