Pad thai, or phad thai, is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as a street food and at most restaurants in Thailand as part of the countrys cuisine. Pad Thai is one of the worlds most beloved noodle dishe Along with Thai Green Curry and Red Curry, this is the dish by which every Thai restaurant is measured.

Its a comfort food of our age, with those chewy noodles, crunchy peanuts, the sweet and tangy sauce, and plenty of chives, bean sprouts, and chicken to make it a full. It starts with fresh ingredients including rice noodles, chicken, shrimp, tofu, cilantro, bean sprout This restaurant-quality Pad Thai recipe is surprisingly easy to make at home and customize with whatever noodles, proteins, veggies, and spice level you prefer.

The Ingredients need to make Pad Thai:
  1. You need of Rice sticks (dried rice noodles)
  2. You need of Chicken/pork/beef/shrimp (choose one)
  3. It’s of as needed Oil
  4. You need of Garlic (minced)
  5. Prepare of Egg
  6. It’s of Carrot
  7. Prepare of Onion
  8. It’s of Sauce
  9. It’s of 3/8 chicken broth
  10. You need of Fish sauce
  11. Prepare of Brown sugar
  12. It’s of White sugar
  13. Prepare of Tomato ketchup
  14. It’s of Soy sauce
  15. It’s of Lime juice
  16. It’s of 1/8 peanut butter (if desired)
  17. It’s of Accents
  18. You need of Peanuts
  19. You need of Green onion (chopped)
  20. Prepare of Lime (cut in 4-6 slices for garnish)
  21. You need of Bean sprouts
  22. Prepare of Red pepper (crushed, use for garnish)

Step to make Pad Thai:
  1. Put noodles in pot with water and set on stove on lowest temp for 1 hour check occasionally to make sure they do NOT get over cooked
  2. While noodles cook, put all ingredients for sauce together and let come to a small boil then let simmer.
  3. Put the remaining ingredients in another pan and let simmer together while watching and stirring so not to let the food burn. Use oil if needed.
  4. When noodles are done, drain BUT DONT PUT BACK IN POT YET! Put all together EXCEPT NOODLES then add noodles to desired drynes I enjoy less noodles for more soup like.

Pad Thai is believed to have originated in Thailand during World War II. It was born out of a combination of a rice shortage and Thailands prime minister wanting to create a national dish. Pad Thai is Thai stir-fried noodles with rice stick noodles, shrimp, chicken, fried tofu, eggs and Pad Thai sauce.
