  7. You need 4 tbsp of sugar
  8. Prepare 1 pinch of saffron
  9. Prepare 4 tbsp of nuts for garnish

This Indian dessert is a Mughlai favorite that combines fried bread slices soaked in hot milk and spice Shahi Tukda is a bread pudding Indian sweet of fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with spices, including saffron and cardamom. It is also known as Double ka meetha which is a popular dessert of Hyderabad, Telangana. There are various versions of this dish.

Step to make Shahi Tukda (Indian bread pudding):
  1. Remove the brown edges and cut the bread diagonally each slice into two.Heat ghee in a low flame and deep fry the bread evenly till it turn golden and crispy.

  4. Now immerse the fried bread tukda slices in a sugar syrup one after the other and place them in a serving plate.
  5. Now pour generous amount of Rabdi over the bread slices and garnish with pista and chopped nut Serve shahi tukda warm or chilled
