The Ingredients need to make Japanese Leek Chijimi:
- You need 1/2 of a stalk ● Japanese leek (finely chopped)
- It’s 1 of ● Egg
- It’s 4 tbsp of ● Cake flour
- You need 1 tbsp of ● Katakuriko
- You need 1 tbsp of ● Sesame oil
- You need 1/3 tsp of ● Salt and pepper
- You need 1/2 tsp of ● Baking powder
- Prepare 50 ml of ● Water
- Prepare 3 tbsp of + 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil (for frying)
Step to make Japanese Leek Chijimi:
- Combine all the ● ingredients in a bowl, and evenly blend until smooth.
- Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat, and spread oil evenly. Pour the batter into the pan, making a large pancake.
- Fry slowly over medium heat, then once it turns to a golden brown, flip. Pour 2 more tablespoons of vegetable oil around the edges, then remove from the pan when its cooked.
