The Ingredients needed to make Beetroot Pulao:
- Prepare 1 cup of basmati rice soaked for 30 minutes
- It’s 1 of beetroot grated
- You need 1 tbsp of oil
- Prepare 1 of tomatoes chopped
- You need 1 of onion chopped
- Prepare 1 of bay leaf
- Prepare 4 of cloves
- It’s 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- It’s 2 pods of cardamom
- You need 1 inch of cinnamon
- It’s 2-3 of green chilli slit
- Prepare 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
- You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
- It’s 2 tbsp of coriander leaves chopped
- It’s 1/4 tsp of garam masala
- It’s as per taste of Salt as per taste
- It’s 2 tbsp of mint leaves chopped
- You need 1 tsp of lemon juice
- It’s as required of Water
Step to make Beetroot Pulao:
- Heat oil in kadhai add cumin seeds then add bay leaf, cloves,cardamom and cinnamon.
- Now add onion, green chilli and ginger garlic paste saute well.
- Now add tomatoes and saute until turn soft and mushy.
- Add beet root saute for 2 minute
- Add turmeric, garam masala and salt and saute for until the spices turn aromatic.
- Now add basmati rice and 2 cups of water and mix well
- Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes or till the rice get cooked completely.
- Now add mint leaves and coriander leaves and mix well.
