The Ingredients need to make Dal Baati:
- You need of for bati
- You need 2 cup of wheat flour / atta
- It’s 1/4 tsp of salt
- You need 1/4 tsp of ajwain
- You need 1/4 tsp of rava
- You need 1/4 cup of ghee / clarified butter or oil
- You need as needed of water to knead
- It’s of Dal
- Prepare 1/4 cup of toor daal and moong daal soaked 30 minutes
- Prepare 3 cup of water
- You need 3 tsp of ghee / clarified butter
- Prepare 1 tsp of Mustard Seeds
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin / jeera
- It’s pinch of hing / asafoetida
- It’s 1 of onion, finely chopped
- You need 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
- You need 1 of green chilli, slit
- Prepare 1 of tomato, finely chopped
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder
- It’s 1/2 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder
- You need 1/4 tsp of garam masala
- Prepare 1 tsp of salt
- It’s 1 cup of water
- You need 2 tbsp of coriander, finely chopped
Step to make Dal Baati:
- Firstly, in a large bowl take 2 cup wheat flour, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp baking powder and ¼ cup ghee.
- Mix well making sure the dough is moi now add water as required and knead the dough.
- Make a ball little bit bigger size and add in boiling water (u can cook in cooker also with 2-3 whistle)boil till it will float on
- After cooling down cut in small picece border should be thick shape.
- Keep kadai and add oil. Boiled bati fry on low fame till its get colour change in brown.
- Firstly in a pressure cooker take ½ cup moong dal, and ¼ cup toor dal.
- Pressure cook for 4 whistles adding 1 tsp ghee and 3 cup
- Now in a large kadai heat 2 tsp ghee and splutter 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp cumin and pinch hing.
- Add 1 onion followed by 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 green chilli. saute well.
- Further add 1 tomato and saute well.
- Additionally add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp garam masala and 1 tsp salt. saute on low flame.
- Furthermore add in cooked dal, 1 cup water and mix.
- Simmer and boil for 5 minutes or till dal absorbs masala.
- Now add coriander leaves and mix well.
- Finally, serve dal bati along with slices of onion and chilli.
