The Ingredients need to make Dal Baati:
  1. You need of for bati
  2. You need 2 cup of wheat flour / atta
  3. It’s 1/4 tsp of salt
  4. You need 1/4 tsp of ajwain
  5. You need 1/4 tsp of rava
  6. You need 1/4 cup of ghee / clarified butter or oil
  7. You need as needed of water to knead
  8. It’s of Dal
  9. Prepare 1/4 cup of toor daal and moong daal soaked 30 minutes
  10. Prepare 3 cup of water
  11. You need 3 tsp of ghee / clarified butter
  12. Prepare 1 tsp of Mustard Seeds
  13. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin / jeera
  14. It’s pinch of hing / asafoetida
  15. It’s 1 of onion, finely chopped
  16. You need 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
  17. You need 1 of green chilli, slit
  18. Prepare 1 of tomato, finely chopped
  19. Prepare 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder
  20. It’s 1/2 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder
  21. You need 1/4 tsp of garam masala
  22. Prepare 1 tsp of salt
  23. It’s 1 cup of water
  24. You need 2 tbsp of coriander, finely chopped
Step to make Dal Baati:
  1. Firstly, in a large bowl take 2 cup wheat flour, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp baking powder and ¼ cup ghee.
  2. Mix well making sure the dough is moi now add water as required and knead the dough.
  3. Make a ball little bit bigger size and add in boiling water (u can cook in cooker also with 2-3 whistle)boil till it will float on
  4. After cooling down cut in small picece border should be thick shape.
  5. Keep kadai and add oil. Boiled bati fry on low fame till its get colour change in brown.
  6. Firstly in a pressure cooker take ½ cup moong dal, and ¼ cup toor dal.
  7. Pressure cook for 4 whistles adding 1 tsp ghee and 3 cup
  8. Now in a large kadai heat 2 tsp ghee and splutter 1 tsp mustard, 1 tsp cumin and pinch hing.
  9. Add 1 onion followed by 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 green chilli. saute well.
  10. Further add 1 tomato and saute well.
  11. Additionally add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp garam masala and 1 tsp salt. saute on low flame.
  12. Furthermore add in cooked dal, 1 cup water and mix.
  13. Simmer and boil for 5 minutes or till dal absorbs masala.
  14. Now add coriander leaves and mix well.
  15. Finally, serve dal bati along with slices of onion and chilli.
