The Ingredients needed to make Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani:

  9. You need 5-6 of Black Peppercorns

  12. You need 2 tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
  13. You need 4 tsp of Salt
  14. Prepare of For the chicken
  15. It’s 750 g of Chicken Curry Cut
  16. Prepare 1 tsp of Shahi Jeera

  18. It’s 2 tsp of Ginger paste
  19. You need 2 tsp of Garlic Paste
  20. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Garam Masala Powder

  22. It’s 1/2 tsp of Cumin Powder
  23. You need 2 tsp of Red Chilli Powder
  24. You need 1 tsp of Turmeric Powder
  25. Prepare 2 tsp of Salt
  26. It’s 2 tbsp of Vegetable Oil
  27. Prepare 4 tsp of Green Chilli Finely Chopped
  28. Prepare 2 tbsp of Lemon Juice
  29. You need 200 g of Curd
  30. It’s 2 tbsp of Mint Chopped
  31. Prepare 2 tbsp of Coriander Chopped
  32. It’s 1/4 cup of Golden Fried Onion
  33. You need of For assembling the biryani
  34. You need 1/2 cup of Milk
  35. Prepare 10-12 strands of Saffron Soaked in 2 tbsp milk
  36. Prepare 1/2 cup of Golden Fried Onion
  37. Prepare 1 tbsp of Coriander Chopped
  38. Prepare 1 tbsp of Mint Chopped
  39. Prepare 2 tbsp of Ghee
Step to make Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani:
  1. Wash the rice and soak in water for 40-45 minute Heat water in a large pot. add shahi jeera, black cardamom, green cardamom, javitri / nutmeg, cloves, cumin seeds, black peppercorn, cinnamon, bay leaf, and salt in the pot and bring the water to a boil. Drain the rice and add it in the boiling
  2. For the Chicken Mix chicken with shahi jeera, ghee, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, vegetable oil, green chilli and lemon juice and marinate for 10-12 hour Add curd, mint, coriander and golden fried onion in the marinated chicken and mix well.
  3. Transfer the chicken along with the marinade in a heavy bottom pan. Once the rice gets 20% cooked, take out half of the rice and top it over the chicken.
  4. Once the remaining rice is cooked to 80%, take it out and top it over the 20% cooked rice. Sprinkle milk, saffron soaked in water, golden brown onion, coriander, mint and ghee on top.
  5. Cover the pan tightly with a lid. Place the pan on a very slow heat for 35-40 minute Remove the lid and mix the biryani gently. Serve hot.
