The Ingredients need to make Cowpea Curry:
  1. It’s 250 gms of Cowpea
  2. It’s 250 gms of Brinjal
  3. It’s 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder
  4. It’s As needed of Salt
  5. It’s 1/2 cup of Tamarind water
  6. It’s of Ingredients to grind
  7. It’s 3 tbsp of Chana dal
  8. It’s 1 tbsp of Coriander seeds
  9. Prepare 4-5 of Red chilli
  10. It’s 3 tbsp of Coconut
  11. It’s of Ingredients to temper
  12. Prepare 2 tbsp of Oil
  13. You need 1/2 tsp of Mustard seeds
  14. It’s 1/4 tsp of Asafoetida
  15. You need 1/4 tsp of Cumin seeds
  16. It’s As required of Few Curry leaves
Step to make Cowpea Curry:
  1. Soak cowpea for 3 to 4 hour
  2. Pressure cook soaked cowpea for 2 whistle
  3. Grind the ingredients to a smooth paste.
  4. Cut brinjal into long piece
  5. Heat kadai and add the ingredients to temper.
  6. Add brinjal pieces and fry it.
  7. Pour tamarind water and allow to cook.
  8. Add the pressure cooked cowpea.
  9. Added needed salt and mix well. Allow to boil for 1 minute. Now healthy and simple cowpea curry is ready to serve.
