The Ingredients need to make Filipino Food Series: Mom’s Sweet Spicy Pork Caldereta (Pork Stewed in Liver Paste):
- You need 1 kg of pork ribs/belly
- It’s 1 cup of liver paste
- It’s 1/2 of peanut butter
- Prepare Half of a stick butter
- It’s 1 of medium onion chopped
- Prepare 2 cloves of garlic minced
- It’s 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- Prepare 2 tsp of worcestershire sauce
- Prepare 1 tsp of ground black pepper
- Prepare 1 tsp of dried chilli
- You need of Pineapple tidbits
- It’s 1 of medium carrot
- You need 1 cup of dried green peas
- It’s 1 tsp of salt
- Prepare 1/2 cup of pork broth
Step to make Filipino Food Series: Mom’s Sweet Spicy Pork Caldereta (Pork Stewed in Liver Paste):
- Boil the pork first for about 30 minutes medium Low fire. Set aside 1/2 cup of broth then drain excess
- In a separate pan, Sauté onions, garlic in butter then add the pork soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper and salt.
- Add the water, liver paste and peanut butter then let it simmer for 3-5 minute
- Add the pineapple tidbits, green peas and carrots and simmer again for 3-5 minutes until carrot is cooked.
- Add the dried chilli and serve with hot rice!
