The Ingredients needed to make Indian Chicken Curry with Biryani:
- It’s 1 tsp of minced ginger
- Prepare 8 of chicken thighs
- It’s 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
- It’s 1 tsp of dried thyme
- It’s 2 tsp of dried rosemary
- It’s 3 of bay leaves
- It’s 1/2 tsp of turmeric
- Prepare 6 cloves of garlic minced
- Prepare 1 of red onion finely chopped
- Prepare 1 tbsp of curry powder
- It’s 1 tsp of cumin
- Prepare 1 cup of plain yogurt
- Prepare of Oil for frying
- Prepare to taste of Salt
- It’s of Biryani ingredients
- You need 2 cups of dawaat rice
- You need 4 cups of chicken stock/ water
- Prepare 1 tsp of salt
- Prepare 1 tsp of biryani masala
- Prepare 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste
- You need 1/4 cup of yoghurt whisked
- It’s 1 of onion finely chopped
- You need 2 of tomatoes finely chopped
- It’s 1/4 tsp of turmeric
Step to make Indian Chicken Curry with Biryani:
- In a bowl, place your chicken thigh To this, add the rosemary, thyme, apple cider vinegar, garlic. Mix this all up and the, cover and allow to marinate over night
- Once marination is done, put the chicken to boil, and once done, set aside. if you prefer not to boil before cooking the curry, shallow frying them would be ok.
- In another sufuria, add the red onion, fresh ginger, some salt and bay leave
- Let this cook until fragrant, then add the tomato paste and all the spice Mix them in and add 1/4 cup of hot water and let this cook down until everything is incorporated and thickened.
- Add the boiled chicken followed by the plain yoghurt and let this cook until combined. This should take about 10-15 minutes for everything to come together. meanwhile soak the rice in water for 20 minutes
- Saute the onion and spices in a sufuria. Additionally add the tomatoes and saute until soft and mushy
- Now on low heat add the turmeric biryani masala and salt and stir in until it turns aromatic.
- Add the rice and mix well amd then the water and cook till the rice is ready on low heat
- Serve and enjoy.
