The Ingredients need to make Breakfast Pastries (Fatayer):
  1. You need of (A) the dough
  2. It’s 700 g of flour
  3. It’s 2 tsp of instant yeast
  4. You need 2 tsp of salt
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of sugar
  6. Prepare 2 cup of warm milk
  7. You need 2/3 cup of olive oil
  8. You need of (B) cheese filling
  9. Prepare 200 g of feta cheese
  10. Prepare 100 g of chopped fresh parsley
  11. It’s 1 of egg
  12. You need of (C) spinach filling
  13. Prepare 3 cups of fresh spinach
  14. Prepare 150 g of pomegranate
  15. It’s 2 tbsp of pomegranate molasses
  16. You need 1 tsp of salt
  17. It’s 1 tsp of sugar
  18. You need 1 of large onion diced finely
Step to make Breakfast Pastries (Fatayer):
  1. Mix all the ingredients in section A until well combined, then knead with hands for 5 minute
  2. Cover the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 20 minute it should double in size.
  3. To make the cheese filling, combine all the ingredients in section B and mix until it forms a paste.
  4. To make the spinach filling, wilt the spinach in a pan with the onions, then turn off heat and add the rest of the ingredients in section C.
  5. Cut the dough into even portions and then roll them out and fill them with any of your chosen filling I always like to make a variety.
  6. Brush some egg whites onto the dough to give it a golden colour.
  7. Preheat oven to 200°C and bake the pastries for 10-15 minutes or until the dough is fully cooked. serve hot.
