The Ingredients need to make Dal Vada - an Indian snack:
  1. It’s 2 of large cloves of garlic
  2. You need 1 1/2 cup of dal
  3. It’s 1 of dry red chilli
  4. Prepare 1 of green chilli, chopped
  5. You need 1 of medium onion, chopped
  6. You need 2 tbsp of corn flour/rice flour
  7. Prepare 1/3 tsp of carom seeds (ajwain), crushed
  8. Prepare 1/3 tsp of amchur (dry mango) powder
  9. Prepare 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds
  10. You need 1/3 tsp of sambar powder
  11. Prepare 1/2 pinch of asafoetida (hing powder)
  12. Prepare As needed of Oil for deep frying
  13. It’s 1 pinch of sugar
  14. It’s To taste of Salt
Step to make Dal Vada - an Indian snack:
  1. Clean,wash and soak in lukewarm water for two hour Grind the dal with little water,garlic and dry chilli to a rough (dardara) paste. Give rest to the batter for 2 hours in a warm place for natural fermentation.
  2. Then mix rest other ingredients(except oil) with the batter nicely.

Heat cooking oil in medium heat. Make the Vada in sizes of your choice.

  1. Deep fry both the sides till golden brown. Remove from oil and let the extra oil to be soaked in absorbent kitchen paper. Serve hot with Ghugni and enjoy the winter evening. Thanks
  2. Notes cornflour/rice flour help to bind the batter and make vada/pakoda crispy from outside and soft inside.

Natural fermentation is better for health as it helps in digestion.
