The Ingredients needed to make Rajma Chawal - Favourite Lunch:
  1. You need 1 cup of kidney beans (Rajma) soaked overnight, boiled
  2. It’s 2 tbsp of mustard oil
  3. Prepare 1 of bay leaf
  4. Prepare 2 of black cardamoms
  5. It’s 3-4 of black peppercorns
  6. It’s 2-3 of cloves
  7. You need 1 of cinnamon stick
  8. It’s 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds
  9. Prepare 2 of onion paste
  10. It’s 2 of tomato paste
  11. You need 2 tsp of ginger+ garlic paste
  12. Prepare 2 of green chilli paste
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Coriander powder
  14. It’s 1 tsp of garam masala
  15. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Red chilli powder
  16. It’s 1/3 tsp of turmeric powder
  17. You need to taste of Salt
  18. You need of as required Water
  19. Prepare of For (chawal)-
  20. You need 1 cup of rice
  21. It’s 2 cups of water
  22. Prepare 1 pinch of salt
Step to make Rajma Chawal - Favourite Lunch:
  1. Wash the rajma and soak in water overnight. Wash it again and pressure cook with 2 cups of water salt and turmeric. Once the rajma is soft remove it from heat, keep aside.
  2. Make a paste of onion tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chilli keep aside.
  3. In a deep bottomed pan, heat mustard oil, add black cardamoms, bayleaf, cinnamon, clove, peppercorns, cumin seeds saute for few minute Add prepared paste saute for 5-6 minute
  4. Add Coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, salt to taste, cook till the oil starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  5. Now add boiled Rajma and one cup water mix well, cook covered for 10-12 minute
  6. Ready to serve.
  7. For steamed cook Rice- Wash rice in a running water, Then add large deep bottomed pan with 4-5 cup water in it. Add little salt mix.
  8. Once the rice is soft and double in size, strain the
