The Ingredients needed to make Shrimp Etouffee:
  1. You need 2 1/2 lb of Wild caught Shrimp
  2. It’s 2 cup of Celery
  3. You need 2 tbsp of Garlic
  4. Prepare 1 cup of Red bell pepper
  5. Prepare 4 cup of Onion
  6. You need 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of white pepper
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  9. You need 1/2 cup of green onion
  10. It’s 1/2 cup of flour
  11. It’s 1 can of diced tomatoes
  12. It’s 1 tsp of salt
  13. You need 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning
  14. You need 5 dash of tobasco sauce
  15. Prepare 1/4 cup of parsley leaves
  16. You need 2 tbsp of lemon juice
  17. You need 1 stick of butter
  18. It’s 6 cup of prepared white rice
  19. You need 8 oz of Clam juice
  20. You need 4 of bay leaves
  21. Prepare 2 cup of shrimp stock (or chicken stock)
Step to make Shrimp Etouffee:
  1. First make the roux. Combine butter and flour and melt over medium heat. Stir for 10 to 15 minutes until it turns the color of peanut butter.
  2. Add celery, onions and bell pepper Stir frequently for about 10 to 15 minutes until the vegetable soften.
  3. Add diced tomatoes and garlic, sir, cook for about 5 more minute
  4. Add pepper and salt and stir.
  5. Slowly add in stock and clam juice. Add lemon juice and bay leave Stir, bring to soft boil. Reduce heat to a simmer.
  6. Add Cajun seasoning, parsley and green onion Simmer for 40 minutes stirring often.
  7. Meanwhile, in last 20-30 minutes cook rice.
  8. Add shrimp, cook 5-10 more minute
  9. Serve over rice (or mix rice sand étouffée in same pot). Enjoy!
