The Ingredients needed to make Japanese Pork Stew: Nikujaga:
  1. It’s 500 g of Pork Slices
  2. It’s 1 of Yellow Onion
  3. It’s 2 of Garlic Cloves
  4. You need 2 of Carrots
  5. Prepare 3 of Potato
  6. You need 5 tbsp. of Soy Sauce
  7. You need 3 tbsp. of Mirin
  8. You need 1 tbsp. of Cooking Wine
  9. It’s 500 ml of Water
  10. It’s of Some Bonito stock
  11. Prepare of Marinate Sauce (Below)
  12. It’s 2 tbsp. of Soy Sauce
  13. It’s 2 tbsp. of Mirin
  14. It’s 1/4 tbsp. of Sugar
Step to make Japanese Pork Stew: Nikujaga:
  1. Chop Onion, garlic. Carrot and potato cut into bite size.
  2. Marinate pork with a little bit of soy sauce, mirin and sugar for 15 minute
  3. Heat a pot, add onion and garlic and panfry till fragrant. Then add carrot, mix, add pork and cook till pork is slightly cooked.
  4. Add water, soy sauce, bonito stock, cooking wine and lastly potato, mix well.
  5. Stew for 20 mins (If there is stuff floating on the top after 15 mins, scoop them up.). Put into a large bowl for sharing and add some green onion on top.
