Im having Christmas dinner at my house and want to make Lasagna. what are some good things to go with it other than garlic bread and a tossed salad??? A lasagna is usually packed with enough good things like cheese, meat, and even veggies to make it totally satisfying all on its own, but its always nice to pair it with a simple side dish (like a green salad or even garlic bread) to round out your dinner. You have the option to freeze the lasagna for later use.
These can be kept frozen for a week as long as it is properly covered.
By the way, this is simply my rendition of Italian-American lasagna, and not intended to claim any type of superiority, authenticity, or other I made this for Christmas Eve dinner with my big Italian-American family this year, and it was a big hit!
The Ingredients needed to make Lasagna for Christmas Dinner:
- It’s 8 of sheets Lasagna
- It’s 1 dash of Olive oil
- Prepare 1 dash of Salt
- It’s 60 grams of Melting type cheese
- It’s 1 of Parsley (optional)
- You need 1 of ◆ (Meat Sauce)
- It’s 300 grams of Ground meat
- It’s 1/2 of Onion
- You need 1 tsp of Grated garlic
- Prepare 1 of Vegetable oil
- You need 1 dash of Salt
- Prepare 400 grams of ★Canned tomatoes
- You need 2 tbsp of ★Red wine
- Prepare 1 tsp of ★Soy sauce
- You need 1 dash of ★Salt and pepper
- It’s 1 of Grated cheese
- It’s 1 of ◆ (White Sauce)
- It’s 4 tbsp of Butter
- Prepare 5 tbsp of Cake flour
- Prepare 500 ml of Milk
- Prepare 1 dash of Salt and pepper
And now, someones created the Christmas dinner lasagna - and we think that finally, someones taken it a bit too far.
A creamy spinach-ricotta filling and tomato sauce layered between noodles and Lasagna is such a comfort food.
But making it can seem like a long, complicated process to the uninitiated.
Take the first step to homemade lasagna.
Step to make Lasagna for Christmas Dinner:
- (Meat Sauce) Heat oil in a frying pan and saute the garlic. Add ground meat and cook until the color change
- Remove the meat from the pan. Add minced onion and salt to the pan from Step 1 and saute until tender.
- Return the meat to the pan in Step 2 and sauté the onion. When cooked through, add the ingredients marked with ★ and simmer for 15 minutes on medium low heat. Lastly, mix in grated cheese.
- (White Sauce) Melt the butter over low heat. Add sifted flour and use a wooden spatula to mix while sautéing.
- Heat milk in the microwave (600 W) for 1.5 minute It should be slightly warmer than room temperature.
- When Step 4 has cooked through, add the milk in three batches, keeping the heat on low. Mix well with a whisk. Once it begins to steam, temporarily raise the heat to medium high.
- Return the heat to medium low and, preventing clumps, mix with a wooden spatula and bring to a slight boil (about 15 minutes). Add salt and pepper to taste.
- (Lasagna) Add salt and olive oil to a pot filled with As the lasagna boils, stir. (Boil the lasagna for the amount of time indicated on the package)
- When the lasagna has cooked completely, cool in ice Pat dry with a paper towel. (Be careful not to get the paper towel stuck.)
- (Finishing the Lasagna) In a heat resistant dish, coat with butter (not listed) and lay out 2 sheets of lasagna. If you overlay the middle edges of the 2 sheets, it will look nice.

- Using this procedure, make 3 layers, finishing with 2 sheets of lasagna; spread on meat sauce (It will make 4 layers of meat sauce and lasagna).
- On the very top, add melting cheese and bake in a preheated 200℃ oven for 20-25 minutes until browned.
- I tried this with a lot of different types of lasagna but De Cecco No. 1 Lasagna was the least sticky and most manageable.
I made a lasagna for Christmas dinner tomorrow.
