The Ingredients needed to make Low Fat Banana Bread:
- You need 2 of Banana Overripe
- Prepare 1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
- It’s 1/2 Cup of Milk
- Prepare 1/2 Tablespoon of Vinegar
- It’s 1/4 Cup of Oil
- It’s 3/4 Cup of Sugar Dermerra
- Prepare 2 of Egg whites
- Prepare 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extarct
- You need 1/2 Cup of Flour
- Prepare 1 Cup of Whole Wheat
- You need 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder
- You need 1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
- Prepare 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
Step to make Low Fat Banana Bread:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius
- Add the vinegar to the milk and keep aside for 10 minutes to make the buttermilk
- Bowl 1 - Mash the overripe banana with the baking soda and the buttermilk
- Bowl 2 - Whisk together the oil, sugar, egg whites and the vanilla extract
- Bowl 3 - Whisk together the flour, whole wheat, cinnamon powder, baking powder and salt
- Combine the contents of bowl 3 with bowl 1 and then add the contents of bowl 2. Mix gently. Be careful not to overmix/overstir
- Pour into a prepared (well buttered) loaf tin
- Bake for 45mts till it passes the skewer test (toothpick inserted in the centre of the cake should come out clean)
