A quick fried rice like you get at your favorite Chinese restaurant. A couple of eggs, baby carrots, peas and soy sauce is all you need. This Thai fried rice is called American fried rice (Khao Pad American) in Thailand, because it uses ingredients that are considered American, like ketchup and bacon.

The Ingredients needed to make Fried rice:
  1. Prepare 2 c of uncooked rice
  2. It’s 2 c of chicken stock
  3. Prepare 1-1/2 c of water
  4. Prepare 1 c of frozen corn
  5. You need 1 c of frozen peas
  6. Prepare 2-3 of carrots, chopped
  7. It’s 1/2 of onion, chopped
  8. You need 4 of mushrooms, diced
  9. It’s 5-6 of eggs
  10. It’s 1 of x 8 oz can water chestnuts
  11. Prepare 1/4 c of raisins, or to taste
  12. It’s 1/4 c of slivered almonds or cashews
  13. It’s 1/4-1/2 c of soy sauce
  14. It’s 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
  15. You need 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  16. You need 1/2-1 tsp of ginger powder

All ingredients should be prepped in advance cause once you start frying the rice, it goes fa Fried rice is a rice dish consisting of rice fried together with aromatics, vegetables, and protein. Originating in China around the sixth century, fried rice is popular in many Asian cuisines as a staple side dish served with almost every main. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Step to make Fried rice:
  1. Add rice, chicken stock and water to a rice cooker and cook until done. For best results, cook rice 1 day ahead of making dish and refrigerate over night. If you can’t refrigerate over night, refrigerate after cooking for at least a couple hours until rice feels cold.
  2. Cook corn, peas, carrots, onions, and mushrooms in skillet over medium heat until cooked through.
  3. Whisk eggs in a small bowl. Move veggies to side of pan and add egg to other side of pan. Heat until cooked through.
  4. Add all other ingredients and stir until combined. Cook until heated through.

Add egg, and cook until scrambled, stirring occasionally. Remove egg, and transfer to a separate plate. Fried Rice is a combination of long grained rice, mixture of warm peas, carrots and onions with scrambled eggs mixed all together! You will not be getting take out any longer! Have fried rice as an entree or a side dish when serving it!
