The Ingredients needed to make Matcha Green tea cookies:
  1. It’s 240 g of Plane Flour
  2. It’s 15 g of Matcha green tea powder
  3. You need 170 g of Unsalted butter
  4. Prepare 130 g of Icing sugar
  5. It’s 1 pinch of Sea salt
  6. It’s 2 of Large egg yolks
Step to make Matcha Green tea cookies:
  1. Combine 240 g (2 cups) Plane flour and 15 g (2 ½ Tbsp) matcha green tea powder in a large bowl.
  2. In another large bowl beat 170 g (¾ cup) unsalted butter until smooth and creamy. It’s important to soften the butter ahead of time.
  3. Add a pinch of salt and blend.
  4. Add 130 g (roughly 1 cup) powder sugar and blend until soft and light. Scrape down the bowl as needed.
  5. Add 2 large egg yolks and mix well until combined.
  6. Gradually add the flour and matcha green tea powder mix and blend until the dough is smooth.
  7. Cut the dough in half and shape into 2 cylinders, about 1.5 inches (4 cm) diameter, 7 (18 cm) long.
  8. Wrap the logs in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator until firm, at least 2 hours (or overnight).
  9. Preheat the oven to 200°C, (fan 180°C, gas mark 4) and line 2 baking trays with baking parchment.
  10. Bake the cookies at 200 ºC,(fan 180°C, gas mark 4)for about 20mins
