Steamed Rice balls also known as Upma kozhukattai-upma kolukattai is one of our familys favourite. It can be taken with sambar or chutney but tastes heavenly with Brinjal gotsu. Japanese rice balls, also known as onigiri or omusubi, are a staple of Japanese lunch boxes (bento).

The Ingredients need to make Steamed Rice balls:
  1. Prepare 1 cup of Rice flour
  2. It’s 3 tbsp of coconut powder
  3. You need 4 tbsp of oil
  4. Prepare to taste of Salt
  5. It’s 1/2 tsp of Hing
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Mustard seed
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of Cumin seed
  8. It’s 2 of Green chillies
  9. You need 2 of dry red chillies
  10. It’s 2-3 tsp of Coriander leaves
  11. It’s 1 tsp of Urad dal
  12. It’s 1 tsp of Chana dal
  13. You need 4-5 of Curry leaves
  14. It’s of Water as required

Japanese rice balls, also known as omusubi or onigiri, are mostly shaped into triangles or rounds by hand. They are the staple of Japanese lunchboxes (bento), and they are fun to make. Spread the rice onto a flat surface and roll the balls of chicken to coat with rice. Simple Rice Balls: A relatively easy and mess-free way to make basic filled rice balls (onigiri).

  1. Frist put 1 and half cup of water in a wok and boil it.
  2. Starting boiling then add half tsp of salt and 1 tbsp coconut powder r
  3. Reduced the flame low and mix rice flour gently.
  4. Switch of the flame and cover it and cool for 10 to 15 min
  5. After 15 min using ur hand Knead the doodh smooth use lil oil on ur plam
  6. Make small ball
  7. In a big pot put four glass of water and keep inside stand
  8. Balls plate r keep on stand and steam the rice balls for 20 min after 20 remove and cool down
  9. Take another wok heat 4 to 5 tbsp oil add hing, mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urd dal,chana dal,green chilli slits,dry red chilli,coconut powder,c Curry leaves
  10. Raoste them and add rice balls fry for 5 mins and last add coriander leaves
  11. Serve with coconut chutney or peanut chutney
