The Ingredients needed to make New Year’s Day Cake with Tsoureki Flavor:

  4. It’s 70 ml of fresh orange juice
  5. You need 30 ml of brandy
  6. It’s of zest of an orange
  7. It’s 2 tsp of ground mahleb
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of ground mastic of Chios
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  10. You need 450 g of all purpose flour
  11. You need 1 1/2 tbsp of baking powder
  12. You need 80 g of finely chopped almonds, blanched toasted

Step to make New Year’s Day Cake with Tsoureki Flavor:
  1. In the bowl of your mixer beat butter sugar on medium speed for 8 to 10
  2. Add the eggs and beat until fully incorporated.
  3. Mix in vanilla, brandy, orange zest, mahleb and mastic. Continue with the orange juice.
