The Ingredients needed to make Spring Onion Dal:
  1. It’s 1/2 cup of tuvar dal (pigeon pea lentil), soaked for 30 minutes
  2. It’s 2-3 bunches of spring onion
  3. Prepare 2-3 tbsp. of oil
  4. Prepare 1 tsp. of mustard seeds
  5. Prepare 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida
  6. It’s 1 of onion, chopped
  7. It’s 1 of ginger, chopped
  8. You need 2-3 of garlic cloves, chopped
  9. Prepare 1 sprig of curry leaves
  10. Prepare to taste of salt
  11. It’s 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder
  12. Prepare 1 tsp. of coriander powder
  13. You need 1 tbsp. of red chilli powder
  14. Prepare 1 tsp. of sambar powder
  15. You need 1 of tomato, chopped
  16. You need 1 tsp. of coriander leaves, chopped
Step to make Spring Onion Dal:
  1. Pressure cook the soaked lentils along with the chopped spring onion and turmeric powder in 1 1/2 cups water for 5-6 whistle
  2. Heat oil in a pan temper with mustard seed After it stops spluttering, add onion, curry leaves, ginger, garlic asafoetida. Saute till light brown.
  3. Add red chilli powder, sambar powder coriander powder. Mix everything well.
  4. Add the tomatoe Stir fry till it is mashed.
  5. Add the boiled dal and salt. Simmer on a low flame for 4-5 minute
  6. Serve, garnished with coriander leave
