The Ingredients need to make Cherry Curry:
- You need 200 gm of Cherry / cherry tomatoes
- Prepare 2 of green chillies
- It’s 1/4 cup of shredded coconut
- It’s 1 tsp of chilli powder
- It’s 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of cumin
- You need of Salt as required
- Prepare 4 cloves of garlic
- It’s as required of Water
- It’s 1/4 cup of moong dal (soaked 2 hrs before)
- You need 2 tsp of coconut oil
- It’s 2 of shallots
- You need 2 of dry chillies
- It’s 1 tsp of mustard seeds
- You need 1/4 tsp of fenugreek seeds
- You need 1 of string curry leaves
Step to make Cherry Curry:
- Boil the cherry with the pre soaked moong dal and a pinch of turmeric powder until done.
- Grind together the shredded coconut with 2 cloves of garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and chilli powder.
- Add this ground paste to the dal cherry mixture and cook well till it boil
- Once cooked..check the seasoning. Add enough salt.
- Once it is seasoned well give it a good thadka.
- For thadka. Heat the pan..add enough coconut oil.splutter the mustard and fenugreek seed Add the shallots and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Now the red chillies and the curry leave Stir it nicely and pour it over the curry prepared and give it good stir.
