HOT AND SPICY CABBAGE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Viler Estate in Georgetown Add cabbage, pepper and sugar the drippings then stir until mixture cooks down. Add water to cover and cook until tender.

  2. It’s of Grated carrot
  3. You need of Olive oil

  6. Prepare of Chicken cube stock
  7. Prepare of Ground piri piri powder/cayenne pepper
  8. Prepare of Grinded Black peppercorns

In a large pot, saute cabbage and onion in butter and olive oil on HIGH heat until onions start to soften. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT rice and bring to a boil. I spiced them up with a healthy dose of Sriracha hot sauce. Ground pork is more budget-friendly than beef.

  1. Fry onion in olive oil until it’s succulent. Add in the curry powder and the chicken cube.
  2. Add your cabbage and grated carrot and a bit of water(don’t drown your cabbage in the water) add black pepper, garlic powder and piri piri. Cook the cabbage on low heat. Keep adding a bit of water until it’s cooked through and ready.
