The Ingredients needed to make Hariyali Pulao Green Herby Rice:
- You need 2 cup of Basmati Rice
- Prepare 1/2 cup of peas
- Prepare 1/2 cup of chopped French Beans
- It’s 3 cup of thin Coconut milk or water for cooking rice
- You need 1 of finely chopped onion
- It’s 1 tbsp of Coconut oil or Ghee
- You need to taste of Salt
- It’s 1 of bay leaf
- Prepare 1 inch of cinnamon stick
- You need 1 of Javitri (Mace)
- It’s 2 of Cardamom
- Prepare 2 of Cloves
- You need 6 of Black Peppercorns
- It’s 1 of star Anise (Chakri Phool)
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of Garam masala powder
- Prepare of For Green paste
- Prepare 100 gm of Spinach/Palak
- Prepare 50 gm of Coriander leaves
- Prepare 50 gm of Mint leaves
- It’s 1/2 inch of ginger
- It’s 1/2 of green chilli
- You need 4 of garlic cloves
Step to make Hariyali Pulao Green Herby Rice:
- Rinse Basmati Rice with water 2-3 times soak in enough water for 15 min Then drain the water keep aside for at least 10 min
- Quick Blanch Spinach leaves(not more than 1 min otherwise itll loose the colour) and grind with some Coriander Mint leaves, Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilli to make green paste using some
- Heat coconut oil or ghee in a pressure cooker, saute all whole spices mentioned in ingredients for a
- Add finely chopped onion, saute till translucent. Add green peas, french beans also. Then add green paste, salt garam masala powder. Cook for 2-3 min
