The Ingredients need to make Slow Cooker Chili Beans:
- It’s 2 of lb ground turkey
- Prepare 1 of medium onion, chopped
- Prepare 15 oz. of organic tomato sauce, no salt
- Prepare 15 oz. of organic diced tomatoes, no salt
- It’s 1-15 oz. of can kidney beans
- Prepare 2 cups of hot water
- It’s 1 tsp. of ground peppercorn
- It’s 1 tsp. of ground sea salt
- Prepare pinch of sugar
- Prepare 5 TBSP of homemade chili spice (chili peppers, garlic cumin, oregano, paprika)
- It’s 1 tsp. of ginger
- You need 1 tsp. of cilantro, dried
- Prepare of coconut oil
Step to make Slow Cooker Chili Beans:
- Add turkey to medium hot skillet, cook until done, stirring occasionally. About 7 minute
- Sautee onions (spray skillet with coconut oil) cook until tender. About 2 minutes on medium, stirring occasionally. Note while these are cooking, prepare rest of ingredient
- Rinse the kidney beans, put in slow cooker
- Add all other ingredients except turkey and onion Mix.
- When turkey and onion are ready, add to slow cooker. Mix well.
- This is the mild recipe. If you like it hot, add 3 TBSP cayenne pepper.
- Set slow cooker on high for 4 hour If in a hurry, set for 2 hour The longer you cook, the better the flavor. Serve with sour cream or cheese if desired.
