The Ingredients needed to make Classic Ground Beef Stroganoff:
  1. It’s 1 lb of ground beef
  2. Prepare to taste of Salt, pepper
  3. You need 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  4. It’s 1/2 teaspoon of garlic poweder
  5. Prepare 1/2 of onion, diced
  6. It’s 8-10 oz of mushrooms, sliced
  7. It’s 2 cloves of garlic minced
  8. It’s 2 tablespoons of butter, divided
  9. It’s 2 teaspoons of flour
  10. You need 1 1/2 cups of beef broth
  11. It’s 10.5 oz of can cream of mushroom soup
  12. You need 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  13. It’s Pinch of ground nutmeg
  14. Prepare 1 cup of sour cream
  15. It’s of Cooked egg noodles (whole wheat are best)
Step to make Classic Ground Beef Stroganoff:
  1. Cook ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder in a skillet until no longer pink, drain set aside
  2. In same skillet melt butter and saute mushrooms, onion, and garlic until mushrooms are browned and onions are translucent. Add garlic last so it wont burn.
  3. Sprinkle on flour a stir to cook flour for 2 minutes
  4. Deglaze skillet with beef broth, add mushrooms soup, stir until combined.
  5. Add cooked beef back to skillet, stir in nutmeg, bring to a light boil and then simmer for 15 minutes while noodles cook.
  6. Check for last minute seasoning needs and stir in sour cream just before serving.
  7. Serve over whole wheat egg noodles
