Hello everybody, hope you are having an incredible day today. Today, I gonna show you a way to make a distinctive dish, Battered N Deep Fried Potato Wedge It is one of my favorites recipe This time, I am going to make it a little bit unique. This will be really deliciou

French fries are elevated to a whole new level when you cut potatoes into thick wedges, batter them and deep-fry them in hot oil. Battered and fried potato wedges are widely available in several chain and fast-food restaurants across the country, but you dont have to spend money eating out to enjoy them. Roll potato wedges in flour mixture, put them back in batter mixture, then flour again.

Even when Im not craving my favorite KFC Original Recipe Chicken I sometimes just go through the drive through ONLY for these wedge Plus all the kids love them too. I tried a half dozen different batches of this recipe trying to figure out how thick the batter should be and how salty the breading should be.

The Ingredients need to make Battered N Deep Fried Potato Wedges:
  1. You need 1 cup of all purpose flour
  2. You need 1 tsp of baking powder
  3. It’s 2 tsp of season salt
  4. It’s 1 tsp of chili powder
  5. You need 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
  6. You need 1/4 tsp of salt
  7. It’s 1/2 cup of corn starch
  8. Prepare 3/4 tsp of granulated sugar
  9. Prepare 1 cup of water
  10. Prepare 1/4 cup of milk
  11. Prepare 3/4 tsp of canola oil
  12. Prepare 16 oz of bag of precooked heat n serve red potato wedges
  13. Prepare 1 of oil for deep frying

Turn the potato slices over with a spatula and fry the other side. Keep turning and frying until golden brown all To test whether the potato is cooked through, prick with the point of a sharp knife. If it slides in easily with no resistance then the potato is cooked.

Step to make Battered N Deep Fried Potato Wedges:
  1. Wisk all dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Add all weet ingredients and wisk until there are no lump
  3. (If batter is to thin for you add a bit more flour little at a time. If to thick add a bit more water a little at a time.) ( you may have to adjust this a little depending on how much you pack down when measuring the dry. I did mine loose)
  4. Heat oil that your going to deep fry in. To test temp I drop a few drops of flour into the oil. If it sizzles up its just about ready.
  5. While its heating place thawed potato wedges out onto a paper towels and dry them off. Depending on how wet yours are you may have to gently pat down to remove excess liquid as I did cuz mine were kept frozen. They do sell some that arent frozen.
  6. Dunk potatoes one at a time into batter completely coating them and drop into hot oil. Wait till that one floats before dropping next one to prevent them from sticking together. Fry until a nice tan to brown color.
  7. Keep going until all wedges are done.
  8. Place done ones on a paper towel lined plate to drain of excess grease.
  9. Serve hot!
  10. Great for dipping in sauces or eating as i.
  11. Enjoy!

Soak the potatoes in the milk. While the potatoes are soaking, mix together your flour, salt, pepper, and seasoned salt. Serve with sour cream if desired. In another bowl stir together the egg
Pour into flour mixture stir until smooth.
