The Ingredients need to make Japanese Chestnut Rice:
- Prepare 13-16 pieces of Chestnuts (cooked)
- You need 2 cups of Japanese sweet rice (Japanese measuring cup)
- It’s 1 cup of Regular Japanese rice (Japanese measuring cup)

- It’s 1 Tbsp of Soy sauce
- You need 2 Tbsp of Mirin (sweet sake)
- You need 1/2 tsp of Salt
- It’s 2 3/4 cups of Water
Step to make Japanese Chestnut Rice:
- Cook the fresh chestnuts and peel off the skin I normally boil them first for 3 minutes and then I roast them in the oven for 5 more minute
- Wash the Japanese sweet rice and regular rice put it into the bowl for the rice cooker.
- Add soy sauce, mirin, salt, water, cooked chestnut
- Turn on the rice cooker.
