The Ingredients need to make Easy Pasta Carbonara:
  1. It’s of of a 12 Oz pkg of uncooked turkey bacon
  2. You need of small to medium onion
  3. Prepare of garlic cloves
  4. Prepare of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  5. You need of bow tie pasta
  6. Prepare of unsalted chicken stock
  7. Prepare of fat free evaporated milk
  8. You need of fresh parmesan cheese
  9. Prepare of reduced fat cream cheese softened
  10. You need of frozen peas thawed
Step to make Easy Pasta Carbonara:
  1. Stack bacon and cut in half lengthwise. Then cut cross wise into 1 inch piece
  2. Cook bacon in a 12 inch skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes or until browned. While this cooks finely chop your onion and garlic.
  3. Add onion, garlic chopped fine or pressed, and optional pepper flakes to skillet. Cook another 3-4 minutes or until onion is tender.
  4. Add stock, evaporated milk, and pasta then stir together. Cover and bring to a simmer. Simmer 12-14 minutes or until pasta is still a little firm. Stir occasionally
  5. Remove skillet from heat and stir in cream cheese, grated parmesan and thawed peas
  6. Let stand, covered for 5 minutes or until sauce is thick and creamy.
