The Ingredients needed to make Shiny Teriyaki - Sweet and Salty Konnyaku:
  1. It’s 1 of Konnyaku
  2. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of Sesame oil
  3. Prepare 300 ml of Water
  4. It’s 1 tbsp of Sake
  5. You need 1 tbsp of Sugar
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp of ◆ Soy sauce
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp of ◆ Mirin
  8. It’s 1 dash of ◆ Salt
  9. Prepare 1/2 of ◆ Red chili pepper (sliced)
  10. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of Mirin (for the teriyaki sauce)
Step to make Shiny Teriyaki - Sweet and Salty Konnyaku:
  1. Rub salt into the konnyaku, rinse, slice into 8 mm strips, then cut a small 1 cm slit lengthwise in the middle of the konnyaku.
  2. Holding the konnyaku lengthwise, pass the top part through the slit and gently pull to make a rein knot. Parboil the slices for 2 minutes, then drain in a colander.
  3. Heat sesame oil in the same pot, evenly sautè both sides of the konnyaku until golden brown, add water, and when it starts to boil, add sake and sugar, and simmer for 2 minute
  4. Add the ingredients marked with a ◆ and simmer on medium heat until most of the liquid has boiled away. Add mirin and stir until the konnyaku starts to shine. Let sit in the pot until the flavors are absorbed and theyre done.
