The Ingredients needed to make Japanese-Style Yakigashi (焼き菓子):
  1. It’s 125 g of cake flour
  2. You need 125 g of condensed milk
  3. It’s 3 g of baking soda
  4. Prepare 1 of egg yolk
  5. You need 95 g of red bean paste

  5. Weigh and divide red bean paste into 12 equal balls, about 22g each. Cover until ready to use.
  6. After resting, divide dough into 12 equal portions, about 8g each.
  7. Flatten dough ball in palm. Place red bean paste ball in the middle. Roll between palms to form a smooth ball.
  8. Pinch dough or add dough to form ears, etc. or your desired shape. Use brown food coloring and tiny paint brush to draw facial features, etc.
  9. Place onto baking sheet 1 inch apart. They do expand a little in the oven.
  10. Bake at 325 °F for 20 minute After first 10 mins, if browning too fast, cover top loosely with foil.
  11. When baked golden and top slightly brown, take out from oven. Let cool. Enjoy the cuties!
