  1. You need 300 gr of boneless chicken meat, cut into bite sizes

  3. It’s 60 gr of cornstarch
  4. Prepare 500 ml of oil for deep frying the chicken
  5. It’s 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil
  6. You need 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  7. You need 1/2 inch of ginger, finely minced
  8. You need 10 of dried chilies, soak in lukewarm water for 30 minutes to 1 hour (the amount of dried chilies can be reduced or added to taste)
  9. Prepare 2 of green onions, julienned
  10. You need of For the sauce
  11. Prepare 3 Tbsp of soy sauce
  12. Prepare 1 Tbsp of dark soy sauce
  13. It’s 2 Tbsp of rice vinegar
  14. Prepare 1 tsp of Hoisin sauce
  15. Prepare 1/2 Tbsp of Chinese cooking wine
  16. It’s 2 Tbsp of water
  17. You need 1 Tbsp of cornstarch
Step to make General Tso’s Chicken:
  1. Mix chicken with salt. Set aside for 15 minute
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the sauce ingredient Set aside.
  3. Coat chicken with the cornstarch. Shake the excess flour off.
  4. Deep fry the chicken until golden brown. Remove from the heat. Drain the excess oil by laying the chicken on a dish lined with paper towel
  5. Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic, ginger, and dry chilies until fragrant.
  6. Add the sauce mixture. Keep stirring until the sauce thicken
  7. Add the chicken. Stir until the chicken coated evenly with the sauce.
  8. Add green onion Mix well.
  9. Serve with warm rice! 😋
