The Ingredients need to make General Tsos Chicken:
- You need 4 of skillets chicken (cut diced)
- It’s 5 of dried chillies (cur half)
- It’s 1 of spring onion (thinly sliced)
- You need of Cooking oil
- Prepare of Marinade (min 30 minutes)
- You need of Chicken
- You need 1 tbsp of light soy sauce
- It’s 3 tbsp of cornstarch
- Prepare 1 tsp of pepper
- You need 1 tbsp of all purpose flour
- Prepare 1 of egg (mix before fry)
- It’s of Sauce
- It’s 2 tbsp of dark soy sauce
- You need 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
- Prepare 3 of garlic (finely chopped)
- You need of Ginger (finely chopped)
- You need 2 tbsp of sugar
- Prepare 2 tbsp of vinegar
- It’s 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
- It’s 1 tsp of pepper
- Prepare 1 tbsp of cornstarch
- You need of Water to dillute
- Prepare of Garnish
- It’s of Sesame seeds
- Prepare of Spring onion
Step to make General Tsos Chicken:
- Prepare all ingredient Cut the chicken itu bite size, and then in a mixing bowl mix with cornstarch and white pepper. Marinade for minimum 30 minutes (I did it overnight).
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Mix altogether in a bowl. Then add a beaten egg and all purpose flour to the marinated chicken.
- Heat the pan, put some cooking oil, and fry the chicken until it is golden brown and cooked.
- Heat some oil again, now sauteé the dried chillies and onion. Next, put the sauce in, and mixed with the leftover batter (egg and flour) until its thickened. Last, put the chicken in and let the sauce cover all the chickens surface.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onion. Serve with hot white rice.
