The Ingredients needed to make Easy Beef Rice Bowl (Gyudon):
  1. Prepare 600 grams of Thinly sliced beef
  2. Prepare 1 large of Onion (young sweet onion preferred)
  3. It’s 1 piece of Beef fat (or vegetable oil)
  4. You need 50 ml of Red wine
  5. You need 1 tsp of Grated ginger
  6. Prepare 1 of bit less than 2 teaspoons Dashi stock granules
  7. Prepare 1 of bit less than 4 tablespoons Sugar
  8. It’s 1 of bit less than 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  9. Prepare 1 dash of Umami seasoning (optional, to taste)
  10. It’s 1/2 tsp of Kombu tea
  11. Prepare 1 cm of square Butter
  12. It’s 1/2 tsp of Vinegar
Step to make Easy Beef Rice Bowl (Gyudon):
  1. Heat up the beef fat, or vegetable (as a substitute), in a frying pan. Stir fry the onion until its very soft. Add the beef and stir-fry briefly.
  2. Add 300 ml of water and the red wine to the frying pan and bring to a boil. Skim off the scum.
  3. Add all the other ingredients except for the butter and vinegar in the order listed.
  4. When the meat is cooked, add the butter and mix in. Just before you turn the heat off, add the vinegar and mix lightly, and its done. Top on rice.
  5. Garnish with some beni-shouga red pickled ginger and its done.
