The Ingredients need to make Paneer fried rice:
  1. You need of To marinate and roast paneer
  2. You need 250 g of paneer
  3. It’s 1/4 tsp of garam masala
  4. It’s 1 tsp of red chilli powder
  5. It’s 1 tsp of coriander powder
  6. It’s of Salt as required
  7. It’s 1 tbsp of oil to roast paneer
  8. Prepare of To make fried rice
  9. Prepare 1 1/2 cup of basmati rice
  10. You need 1 tbsp of + 2 tbsp oil
  11. It’s 1/2 of onion medium sliced (sweet onion will give more taste)
  12. It’s 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
  13. It’s 2 of green chillies
  14. It’s 1 of capsicum sliced
  15. Prepare 8 of spring onion stems chopped (Separate white part and green part)
  16. You need 1/4 of cabbage sliced
  17. You need 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder
  18. It’s 1 tsp of soya sauce
  19. It’s 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup
  20. It’s 1/2 tsp of vinegar
  21. It’s 1/2 tsp of pepper
  22. Prepare of Salt as required

This is the homemade version of Indian Chinese style restaurant version. One of my blog readers requested for paneer fried rice recipe similar to the one they serve in saravana bhavan. Sadly I have never tasted that. I wanted to taste once and then post the recipe.

Step to make Paneer fried rice:
  1. Marinate paneer with all the ingredients under marinate section and keep it aside for 15 min Fry it in oil for 2-3 min
  2. Soak rice for 15 to 30 min Bring lot of water to boil and add rice along with 1 tbsp oil. Cook it until its done. Takes 5-7 mins in medium to high flame. Do not overcook.
  3. Heat a pan with oil. Add ginger garlic paste and green chillie Sauté until raw smell goe Add onion and sauté for 2 min Add capsicum and sauté for 2 min Add cabbage and white part of spring onion and sauté for few min Add red chilli powder, salt, pepper, soya sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar and sauté until raw smell goe Add rice, paneer, green part of spring onion and sauté until everything gets mixed.
  4. Serve with tomato ketchup!
