Teri (照り) is Japanese for shiny or lustrous while yaki means grilled or griddled (Ill explain more about this later). Teriyaki Chicken is a very popular Japanese dish and is so easy to make. The sauce is just a mixture of soy sauce, sake, mirin and sugar.

The Ingredients needed to make Teriyaki Chicken 照り焼きチキン:
  1. Prepare 1 lbs of chicken thigh
  2. It’s 2 Tbsp of sugar
  3. Prepare 2 Tbsp of syoyu
  4. It’s 2 Tbsp of mirin
  5. You need 2 Tbsp of sake

  2. In a jar, mix sugar, shoyu, mirin and sake
  3. Heat frying pan, add sesame oil and sauté until almost cooked
