The Ingredients need to make Tomato Fish:
- You need 250 gms of basa fish
- It’s 2 of medium onions finely chopped
- Prepare 1 of ” piece of ginger
- It’s 1 of whole small garlic
- It’s 1/2 cup of cream
- It’s 1/4 cup of tomato puree
- Prepare 1/4 cup of tomato sauce
- Prepare 2 tsp of salt
- It’s 1 tsp of red chilli powder
- It’s 1 tsp of garam masala powder
- Prepare of Juice of one lemon
- Prepare As needed of Oil for frying
Step to make Tomato Fish:
- Cut the fish into medium sized pieces as per your preference. Grind the ginger and garlic into a smooth paste adding a bit of
- Marinate it with 1 tsp salt and lemon juice. Mix well and keep aside for 10-15 minute
- Heat oil in a pan. Deep fry the fish till cooked. Remove and keep aside.
- Heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add in the onion and saute till they are translucent and about to change color.
- Add in the ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute. Do not brown.
- Add in the tomato puree and the tomato sauce.
- Add in the salt and chilli powder and stir.
- Add in the cream and mix well.
- Add the fish and mix until they are well coated. Add in the garam masala.
- Cover with a lid and simmer on low heat until you can see oil on the surface.
- Tomato fish is ready to serve.
