1. You need Pound of cake (homemade or store bought)
2. You need 2 lbs of strawberries
3. Prepare 1 of large lemon zest and juice
4. It’s of Sugar to taste (depends on how sweet your strawberries are)
5. Prepare of Whipped cream

Step to make Strawberry Shortcake:

1. Wash, destem and quarter strawberries
2. Zest the lemon
3. Juice the lemon
4. Put quartered straberries in a bowl add sugar, zest and lemon juice. Put in refrigerator for a couple hour
5. Slice poundcake (I like to toast mine in the toaster oven), top with strawberries and whipped cream.
