The Ingredients needed to make Chicken Paprika:
- You need 12 of skinless, bone-in chicken thighs
- Prepare 4 Tbs of butter
- It’s 1/4 cup of cooking oil
- It’s 3 cup of chopped onion
- Prepare 3 Tbs of mild paprika
- It’s to taste of salt and pepper
- Prepare 2 of bay leaves
- It’s 3 cups of chicken broth
- It’s 3 Tbs of flour
- It’s 3 cups of sour cream, divided
- Prepare of Hungarian Rice

- It’s of Dumplings

Step to make Chicken Paprika:
- Melt butter and cooking oil in a large roasting pan over two burner Cook chicken for 5 minutes on each side, until it starts to brown. Add onions and sauté for 5 more minute Add paprika, salt, pepper, bay leaves and chicken broth. (If you cant fit the chicken all in one pan you may have to cook it in batches then add all the chicken back in when everything else is cooked.)
- Cover and simmer until chicken is tender, about 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour and 1 cup of sour cream. Slowly ladle one cup of boiling chicken liquid to temper the sour cream. Add mixture to the chicken. Add remaining sour cream. Heat on low for 10 more minutes, but don’t let boil.
