The Ingredients needed to make Kadala Curry:
- You need 1 cup of Kala Chana
- Prepare 1/2 of coconut (scrapped)
- It’s 4-5 of shallot onion
- Prepare 3-4 of Garlic
- You need 7-8 of Dried Red chillies
- Prepare to taste of Salt
- It’s Few of curry leaves
- It’s 2 tbsp of Coconut oil
- You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
Step to make Kadala Curry:
- Soak the Kala chana overnight. Next morning cook it in pressure cooker. Give 7-8 whistles or till it gets soft
- Take a pan, add Coconut oil in that. Once oil is hot add Shallot onion, garlic, red chillies, curry leaves and turmeric powder. Dont overcook. Cook till onion loose its raw taste. Let it cool.
- In mixie jar add step - 2 ingredient Add coconut. Grind it to smooth paste.
- Take a pan, add coconut oil, curry leaves and dried Red Chilli. Add gravy in thi Let it cook for some time. Dont boil it. Add boiled Chana. Cook for some more time. Serve with hot piping puttu.
