The Ingredients need to make Pique (Puerto Rican Hot Sauce):

  7. You need 4 of Sprigs of Cilantro
  8. You need 2 of Racao leaves
  9. Prepare 4 tbsp of Olive Oil
  10. It’s 1 pinch of Oregano
  11. Prepare 1 pinch of Salt

You can use any hot peppers you like, according to your heat tolerance. Pique (Homemade Puerto Rican Hot Sauce). In Puerto Rico everyone has their own version of Pique. This one is mine, its not watery like Tabasco; its a little thick like our sofrito.

Step to make Pique (Puerto Rican Hot Sauce):
  1. Carefully cut Ajices in half. Keep seeds if you like it hot. (Wash hands good afterward)
  2. Cut the pineapple rind into 6 pieces 1x2 inches each. (Bout the size of postage stamp.)
  3. In a small sauce pan, simmer the ajices in the olive oil about 1 on medium low. This brings out hotness of the pepper, without leaving it sit for month Let cool.
