The Ingredients need to make Easy Pakodas ( Kerala evening snack):
  1. It’s 1/2 cup of Besan flour ( gram flour)
  2. You need 1/2 cup of Idli/dosa batter (optional , adding this helps in making the pakoda nice and crispy)
  3. You need 1/2 cup of Finely chopped purple onion
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of Finely chopped ginger
  5. You need of Curry leaves -few leaves
  6. You need 3-4 of Green chilies
  7. It’s 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp of chili powder (depending upon spice level)
  9. You need 1/4 tsp of asafoetida powder
  10. It’s 3-4 tbsp of Chopped Cilantro leaves
  11. It’s to taste of Salt
  12. Prepare of Refined sunflower oil / cooking oil for frying
Step to make Easy Pakodas ( Kerala evening snack):
  1. Mix all the above mentioned ingredients with water to form a thick batter. Make sure not to add too much water since this needs to be fried in oil.
  2. In a frying pan add some refined oil / vegetable oil and wait till oil becomes hot. Take the batter in a teaspoon or fork to get small amounts and fry it in oil. Adjust the heat accordingly and wait till pakora becomes crispy .
  3. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and hot tea .
