The Ingredients needed to make Kerala Fish Curry:
  1. Prepare 1/2 kg of fish of your choice
  2. You need 1 tsp of Small ginger crushed
  3. Prepare 3-4 of green chillies
  4. Prepare 2 tablespoon of chilli powder
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
  6. You need 2-3 of small Kokum
  7. Prepare as per taste of Salt
  8. Prepare 5-6 of Curry leaves
  9. You need 1 cup of thick coconut milk
  10. You need as required of Coconut oil
  11. You need As needed- of Water
  12. Prepare 4-5 of roundly sliced shallots
Step to make Kerala Fish Curry:
  1. Add fish to a clay pot. To this add ginger,green chillies,kokum,chillipowder,turmericpowder,salt little of oil and mix everything well.
  2. Add enough water to make the fish fully immersed.
  3. Switch on the flame to high and cook the fish till its done there forth.then reduce the flame to low and cook for another 3-4 mins until oil starts to separate.
  4. Now add a cup of thick coconut milk and cook till bubbles form.make sure not to boil for not more than 2 mins after adding coconut milk.
  5. In a pan add coconut oil,add the sliced shallots and curry leaves and saute till golden brown till the nice aroma of shallots comepour this on to the top of the curry.
