The Ingredients need to make Thai Pork And Vegetable Rice Bowl:
  1. Prepare of ground pork
  2. Prepare of grated ginger
  3. You need of each red, green and yellow bell peppers, seeds removed
  4. It’s of large onion
  5. Prepare of garlic, minced
  6. Prepare of sugar
  7. You need of Mirin (rice cooking wine)
  8. You need of soy sauce
  9. You need of fish sauce
  10. You need of chicken broth (as needed)
  11. Prepare of cooked white rice
  12. You need of chopped parsley
Step to make Thai Pork And Vegetable Rice Bowl:
  1. Brown ground pork together with grated ginger over medium heat (make sure to crumble the meat as it cooks).
  2. Meanwhile, cut pepper halves into strips, lengthwise. Peel onion and cut into quarters lengthwise, then halve each quarter again.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sugar, rice cooking wine, soy sauce and fish sauce. Set aside. (Below is a photo of the rice cooking wine that I use.)
  4. Add peppers, onion and garlic to the pork. Cook until softened, about 4-5 minute
  5. Stir in the seasoning mixture, mix until well combined, allow it to simmer for 2 minute Gradually add chicken broth to pork mixture if more liquid is needed.
  6. Place rice in a bowl and spoon some Thai Pork and Vegetables on top. To serve, sprinkle with chopped parsley (or I use chopped scallion stalks if I have them available).
  7. Enjoy!
  8. Note 1 cup uncooked white rice usually yields 3 cups cooked white rice.
