The Ingredients need to make SouthIndian Flavour Meduvada and Sambhar:
- Prepare 3 cup of Urad Dal soaked for 6to 8 hours
- You need 1 cup of Rice soaked
- You need 1/2 cup of water
- You need 1 tsp of soda biocarb
- Prepare of For sambhar
- You need 1 cup of tuar dal
- Prepare 1 cup of chana ( gram ) dal
- Prepare 1 of tomato choppped
- It’s 2 of onion chopped
- It’s 2 of drum sticks cut in pieces
- It’s 3 tsp of curry leaves
- Prepare 3-4 of dry red chilli
- Prepare 1 tbsp of coriander leaves chopped
- You need as needed of oil for frying
- It’s 2 tsp of Sambhar powder
- Prepare To taste of Salt and red chilli powder
- You need 4 tsp of lemon
- Prepare 1 tsp of coriander powder
- Prepare 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- It’s 2 tbsp of oil for tadka
- Prepare 2-3 of cloves
- Prepare 1 of dry red chilli
- You need 1/4 tsp of asafoetida
- You need 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds
- Prepare as needed of Water
- You need 2 tbsp of rice flour
Step to make SouthIndian Flavour Meduvada and Sambhar:
- Soak Urad dal and rice together in a bowl for 6to 8 hourCrush it in a mixie jar.(Karkara).
- While crushing urad dal drain all the water from it.Then use only 1/4 cup of water to crush urad dal.Better must be tight.Add 2 tbsp rice flour in it and stir it well.
- Add salt to taste in it.Also add 1 tsp soda biocarb to it and stir it well.
- Take oil in a kadai and heat it…Now take water in one bowl. Wet your palm with it.take a little portion of better on the palm.Make hole between it with the help of finger and slowly slip down into the boil oil…and fry it..Fry all MeduVada like thi
- On the other side boil turdal and chana dal in the cooker.Take four cities and finely boil it.
- Take boiled dal in a tapeli,add 6-8 cup of water and crushed with handy mixie.Add cut drumsticks in it.Put it on the flame.
- Add salt to taste,then add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and lemon juice in sambhar. Stir it well.
- Lets make tadka. Take 2 tbsp oil in a small kadai and add mustard seed, methi dana to it. Add hing and whole red chilli, long to it.also add red chilli powder. Add this tadka in sambhar.
- Boil sambhar for 15 to 20 minute Again take 1 tbsp oil in a small kadai,add chopped onions and tomatoes and saute it, add into sambhar. Add sambhar powder. Boil it properly.
- Now your Medu vada and Sambhar is ready to serve.You can serve it with coconut chutney…
